Just noticed that all the photo links (from Facebook) were dead so I have uploaded them all to Photobucket and edited all the posts. Sorry about that!
The thread had been dormant for a long time as I had a problem with the front mech on the bike. Basically the first time I rode it the front mech hinge bust and caused me some issues. The problem was caused by the hinge touching the frame when the rear suspension compressed. You can see the mark it left on the frame:
Although the mech wasn't mounted that low on the post and the gears worked fine (until I used the compression with some force) it must have been mounted too low on the post:
Since then I waited a long time for another X9 mech and a 10 Speed chain link and enevtually got round to putting it back together. I had to mount the front mech as high on the post as I could but I can still get a good combination of gears. I can't go small and small or big and big as it touched the guide but I would never ride like that anyway as the short cage rear mech wouldn't do it and I am not a complete idiot. I can still get lots of different ratios as have learned what gears I should and shouldn't use and as no-one else but me will ride it thats all that matters.
I took it for a blast up Newcastleton to test it out and the only adjustment I had to make was to the front mech which I could do from the adjuster on the gear selector.

Great looking bike!0

Nice!
One thing though, is that a pop-loc type afair on the bars, or have you somehow managed to fix the KS to work with both remote and lever?0 -
It's a remote for the rear shock, being a scott it has an own-brand shock with a remote. Afaik it works similar to the pull shocks on the genius and Cannondale Jekyll. Peter Denk sure does love his pull shocks!!0

I can have the shock on no travel, 3" or 6". I went for the KS with lever as I didn't want and other lever on the bar and another cable run. I think it's actually quite neat with the little lever under the saddle.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Elixir 9 brakes still squeal like a pig but I can live with that as they have some great stopping power! Lol2007 Scott Ransom Carbon 10

No issues so far. The design was tested on a jump bike with really loose spokes to see how it would hold up to abuse and there were no problems. I am hoping that I dont ever hit anything hard enough to buckle the wheel considering they are strong rims and 160mm travel.
He build road wheels too where they were tested by a magazine:

Would you believe I haven't been out on this bike this year! I think I have ridden it for less than 2 hours on the trails since it was built.
After riding it to the gym this week I realised its just too good to be sat there doing nothing.
Due to changes in circumstances and not having a vehicle to take the bike to a location I am thinking it is time to sell it.
I am trying to sell my house and relocate so any extra money would be great.
I am going to make a classified add soon but if your interested please look through this thread and message me.
Thanks
