Well, was definitely after Boonen. Good luck to Sep, rode well. No idea how he beat Tommeke in a sprint...Contador is the Greatest0

Boonen over-confident? He went very early.0

Strong, aggresive and smart ride throughout there from Vanmarcke, very impressive.0

Sporza streaming, the Classics are back, a lazy Saturday afternoon.
Bliss.

Great ride from Vanmarcke, seriously strong. I thought Boonen was going to take that but he went too early!"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Something like that. Far too early, threw it away imo.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

He's all emotional too... lovely to see. Big win for him.0

Good race that. Boonen looked strong on the climbs I thought, left a bit too much on the course obviously. So much for the Classics superteam BMC.0

Still a good day for him though. A workout like that will count for next month.0 -
He made Boonen look ordinary in that sprint!0

Watched the last 60km on Sporza - excellent stuff! Gilbert was unlucky to lose contact through a mechanical though. Great sprint and a deserving winner. Don't know if it was streamed but Sporza had a camera in the tent at the end - Vanmarcke blubbed for a good 10 minutes while his soignier was cleaning him up.
Roll on tomorrow afternoon!Head Hands Heart Lungs Legs0 -

I thought the cyclocross season was just about over?!
There were a lot of fallers around the 60 - 50km from home mark. Looked like at least one collarbone. Anyone know the toll? I thought D. Millar started but couldn't find him on the finishers list?

Pffft.
Vanmarcke was the strongest on the road today. You could see it in the pedals.
Boonen spent a lot of time sticking his nose in the wind, and took up the sprint too early in a headwind sprint.
His legs seem fine, maybe need to sort his head out a bit.
But yeah, lost to the best guy.
Shame to see Giblert puncture at a bad time and Cancellara not even riding!
BMC will be ruuing the lack of ear-pieces. You'd have thought otherwise they'd have taken the chase up earlier, since Hushovd will have inevitably given them the shout that he wasn't particularly strong....
For the same reason, you get the impression Boonen was a little more eager than he needed to be to get the gap with the smaller group.0 -
Seems Sep was told to man up a bit. And did!“The night before the race Sep’s manager called me up and said the team wanted to only work for Heinrich [Haussler] and that Sep was a bit upset. I asked if Sep could win the race and if he could, then he needed to stand up in front of everybody and say he could win. If he does that and has the balls to do it then the team will be behind him for sure,” Vaughters told Cyclingnews.

Quick question re- Sep standing up infront of the team saying he can win it.
When he did, did they pay any attention to him? Or just look around kind embarrassed?0 -

They all high-fived and then sang a few hymns...0
