Nice bike you've got their and i think the grips should look better in red and maybe the seat as well lol .

Cheers, over time stuff will get changed but the grips were a freebie, and the seat was very cheap. Tyres first though !!

Well i can't argue with you using the grips if they were free but they would look better on a black framed bike and tyres are so important to get right or you'll find your self struggling in damp & muddy conditions out on the trails lol .

There is an explanation somewhere in the threads at the top but basically you need an account with fotobucket or similar, get the url link to a photo and post it here with linky thinks and bingo job done.

cheers not had chance to give it a hard ride yet ive only been out for a gental setup ride . Wow ive rode and owned alot of bikes to find a bike that feels like this and ive got it atlast dont know how foes did it but this shaver is bloody brill . Im runing 160 travel up front it does feel a little to high for the ups. What travel you running ? And ull love the foes at the alps enjoy enjoy :)

Update ive lowered my forks to 150mm this bike works best at this travel fork allso added a longer stem 70mm now the bike is perfect and more even for the ups and downs owww yes and im runing it in the shorer travel setting this is a much more riderble setting . Ive rode it hard long fast and it just loves it . It cost alot but well worth it. 10/10 from me

Ive just got back from the alps with mine and it was in its element. It gave me so much confidence i was loads quicker than the rest of guys i went with !. Im running 150mm up front and i find that more than enough for me. Its interesting that you mention the lower rear setting ive not even tried that yet ! Im trying a single ring set up because i reckon i can get away with it has i did drop the chain a couple of times over there. Im off out in the peaks for a proper up and down ride tomorrow so i will soon see if a single ring full time is do-able or not.

glad you had a good trip to the alpps . im running a 36 single ring with 13 chain device its great but do miss the granny ring on the really steep ups . The longer travel setting feels more plush great for the alps .But for normal xc the shorter travel makes a massive difference it firms the travel up and you get less travel dive that helps on long rides. Soon im off to cannok trails and going to wales i will have it set into the longer travel setting for those places. Allso im a playfull rider that likes to flik hop jump on the trails have you noticed how easy the foes is to hop jump? My first jump /hop really shocked me as i went higher than normal with less effort . Have to say the foes is adictive . Ps nice pic are we the only guys in the uk to own a foes ? i can not find others .

I was taking part in the pass'portes du soleil whilst in the alps with over 6 thousand riders through out the entire valley and i only ever saw one other Foes and it was a old school downhill rig which makes me very happy, I really enjoy having a different bike from other people.
Yeah, I think thats why im so much quicker through the rough stuff I just hit the first root or rock and just let the bike do what its best at.
I've just put a Renthal 36T front ring on so we will see.

On photobucket highlight the img code then copy it, in the reply box on here click the image tab it should bring up img in the text box DELETE them because you already have img code from the copied link. In the text box just right click and paste.

HI how did you get on with the 36 T ring ? And did you try out the other travel setting ? if so what do you think ? ive found one problem with the foes and thats the BB Hight its low now and again i hit my peddles on routs only on the ups thow and my crank arms a 170 long but i think it may be my peddles that are the problem as thay are flat and bigger than most . Other than that i get full travel and haven't bottomd it out once . Foes did say the shock work in 3 stages and they have got it spot on it really does stiffen up at the end of the travel

So far the 36 seems to be ok but i really do need a full on chain device so thats next. I havent tried the other setting yet
so i still cant comment to be honest i cant see a reason for changing it if im on a long pedal sections then i just flick to shock lever. Im toying with idea of a Cane Creek double barrel air shock but i know that fox have spefically tuned the rp23 for the shaver so im going to fire off a couple of emails and see what happens. Still loving it

good stuff i was going to put a FOX DHX 5.0 AIR on mine so i emailed foes they said like you that the frame was set around the fox rp23 and it works best . And if i wanted to put a dhx or anyother shock with a piggy back that i would have to mount it upside down. I think ill stick with the fox rp23 as MR BRENT FOES nos hes stuff . But if you do change shocks ill be very intreasted in how it works and feels . PS nice pic chap
