Ms DDD took my son to messy play last week. Turns out his painted covered hands and feet were used as imprints on the valentines day card they made me. I found out as I opened my lunch today!

Imagine, I nearly bust out into tears at work. <statement> Someones gonna get them some tonight! </statement>

I'm making her a card on MS publisher as we speak. Inside is a menu, she can pick 3 - 4 items on the menu with each option being something I can perform/do such as Starter = Cook her a fry up. Main = Hoover or wash dishes etc.

    Tonight, she's cooking...

First "luuuurve day" as a married couple and we're doing nothing*. Did go out for dinner on Sat, but really cannot be arsed with Valentines garbage anymore.

*at least that is what I think we agreed.

Love day is three days after my birthday and therefore generally just gets in the way of having a decent restaurant booking.

Had flowers delivered to the Mrs at work this afternoon. I don't have my name put on them and always claim ignorance.

Will have to be most attentive tonight ;)

Which is where I confidently thought we were until Sunday, when it was none-too-subtly pointed out that a card would be the least that I should do. Gutted. All this time, and now I'm also in the queue at Morrisons at 10 to 10 on the night before with a load of other blokes who've also been reminded of their duties. Three quid as well. Three quid!!!!! What's going on? Bloody over-commercialised nonsense. Grumble mutter...
