I took the suspension linkage apart cos the bike didn't feel as plush or smooth as it should. Pretty much every single bearing was grinding opposed to spinning freely, so all need to be changed.
Just spunked £65 on a full set of SKF bearings (2x 6000-2RS and 6x 6900-2RS), hoping these will last!0 -

Sweet bike. Very nice 8) I do like the Mondraker brand. I've seen a few around in HK. I even got to try out the SUMMUM PRO TEAM. Bad ass DH bike.
Just wondering why you needed to change your rear suspension linkage bearing especially being a new bike. Was there a problem with them? I'm asking cause a mate of mine wants to get the DUNE RR LTD. So I would like to find out some more. Cheers.Vodka anyone? "Honk"

I think Mondraker use budget bearings so are prone to seezing up (don't quote me on that)...
SKF are s**t hot bearings, come with a 5 year warranty, so should see me well.
Don't let my bearing issue put your mate off though, I'm in love with this bike!0 -
Seriously rating my Rubber Queens!
Currently running with tubes since my LBS couldn't get them to seat correctly using a hand pump. Their compressor is being delivered next week, so I'll be tubeless in next to no time.
Apart from that, so happy with the tyre choice. Really confidence inspiring, and the turn-in is as good as HighRollers if not better. Don't really clag up with mud that bad, and grip to tree roots like s**t to a blanket.
Next on the shopping list:
Kashima and service front fork
Kashima and service rear shock
X0 Gold 2x10 shifters
E13 TRS+ Dual chain device (when it finally comes out)
Then that will be the bike complete....0 -
Your LBS couldn't seat a set of tubeless tyres without a compressor? Did they not have a track pump? or a Co2 Pump? If you can't get a seal using either of those I'd be somewhat concerned about using them on the trail.
lovely looking bike though.0 -
I have just ordered the new e13 trs+ dual you wanted.
They are in stock with Silverfish and you can order through your lbs.
Or contact them on 01752 313253
Build sounds great btw!0 -
So, I've fitted a few new parts...
2012 Fox RP23 Kashima
Black DMR Vault pedals
Gold DMR pedal pin set
Gold X0 2x10 shifters
Went back to flats since I'm starting to hit some more challenging terrain and I don't wanna be clipped in going DH! The pedals are that good with my Sam Hill FiveTens, it's almost like being clipped in...
Next on the list in changing the BB to a nice gold Chris King ceramic number and fitting my E-13 TRS+ Dual which is on order.
Thhhhhen, just need to get the front forks Kashima'd and serviced, X0 front mech (don't want XT on the bike), and it's pretty much complete!
Already spent nearly £2,000 on the bloody thing and I've only had it a few months!!!0 -
So where at the updated photos. Amazing looking bike, I do officially have cycle envy!!!0
