  • I know it's probably a bit late now but maybe to consider for future tool puchases is Draper's expert range. I rebuilt a 6 pot engine mostly using one of thier 1/4 drive ratchet sets and it's been great. I don't know how much AF stuff they do but the expert stuff comes with a lifetime garantee.

Draper are a bit annoying, since the quality in the Expert range is so erratic. I've got a set of t-handles that have been brilliant for the last 10 years, but I got another similiar set just recently and they're as soft as cheese, I thought I'd accidentally bought the entry-level sort for building ikea bookcases instead of Expert.

But I've no argument with the better end of their range. When the surgeons torqued up the bolts in my leg they used a Draper Expert torque wrench  No idea what the stripping point of an M8 thread is in bone, but I don't think you'd want to overdo it and have to fit a helicoil.

This. I forget how much of their "Expert" stuff I have bust over the years. But I know how much Snap on stuff I have broken. None.
