I think, essentially, what our learned friend BHW is trying to say is that he sees no problem with heading out on a Saturday, going to a public place full of other men, women and children he doesn't know, shouting vile racist, anti Semitic and criminal abuse at people he doesn't know, then getting aggressive with anyone who doesn't agree with his form of "entertainment".

This aggressiveness also seems to manifest itself on forums where anyone who doesn't agree with him is classed as a "bender" - so lets bring sexual orientation into his portfolio of hate as well.

I also like the way he has invoked the stereotypical far right wing apologist argument of anyone who doesn't think that shouting vile abuse at people is unpatriotic - unfortunately he also failed to see that we don't live on a ship so its not the "union jack" (his errandum) and rather the Union Flag whilst we are on land. If he does live on a boat then I apologise for my errandum.

I was also wondering whether he feels that his patriotic duty of supporting our troops whilst they do their jobs only relates to white troops, or is he happy to support troops who aren't white? I suppose there may be one or two kicking around. Or is it ok to shout vile abuse at them in a football ground but outside he is wearing his Union Flag lycra and cheering with the rest of his mates?

Before BHW doubts my backing of our troops, perhaps he should check my past posts about what I do. Mrs Y of posts passim will also confirm my sexual orientation, so I can't be classed as a "bender" either (well, to the best of my knowledge).

BHW: it's a free world. We all have the right to have personal beliefs, no matter how wrong/vile they seem to others, however I believe that your racist/homophobic comments here are slightly out of place on a fairly well balanced cycling forum and you seem to be in a group of 1 that supports them. May be best if you head off to BNP.co.uk - its over there on the right. I understand that they do cleated bovver boots in case you need them.

Mods: any chance that this thread can be closed down? Its all a bit, well, repugnant if you ask me.

In all honesty I think your clumsiness exemplifies the grey area between "You fat bastard" (sung to Lampard), "You gay c*nt" (shouted at Grame Le Saux). Or my personal favourite "Adebayor your mum's a whore".

The grey area not being when is it jest and when is it hurtful. But simply some people being offended and other not so much.

Racial abuse against my ethnicity offends me obviously. But then I don't perceive homophobic chants or chants about gingers, Scottish etc as being equally offensive (even though to others it is). - See clumsy grey area.

I wont class opiniated people in this group , it is possible to have opinions without seeking to offend or intimidate anyone else with them.

Its not illegal to hold opinions of a Homophobic or Racist nature ( fortunatley we havent got thought police yet)

But the vocalisation and propergation of these thoughts in a Public environment in order to harrass or intimidate others is quite rightly a crime.

Say all you want about a Nambie Pambie , Politically correct . world gone mad , Footballs a mans game, environment , but there is rightly no public place for the airing of these views, and thats for good reason.

Yes you are entitled to your thoughts, but others are equally at right not to feel intimidated or harrassed by your public expression of them.

In a previous thread, the OP stated that they and a great deal of other people didnt care if John Terry was racist.

Well fortunatley I do and so do a great deal of right thinking people too.
