Epic Wiggle Warranty Return Customer Service Nightmare

  • Warranties are rarely transferable. When Wiggle sold the bike new, they were responsible for ensuring it was in a suitable condition i.e. free from defects, correctly assembled etc. If the bike is subsequently sold again, Wiggle have no way of knowing what condition it is in, and I can't see how they have any responsibility to you. Not only are you being unreasonable but you are muddying the water for those with genuine warranty claims. There are several threads on here from people having dufficulty getting frames replaced under warranty. If companies are reluctant to replace frames under warranty perhaps it's because they know there are people out there like you who are simply trying it on and attemting to get something for nothing. I have a custom built frame with a lifetime warranty because I paid the company that built it. Buying second hand means you paid less, but guess what- you don't get the advantages of buying new- which other universal laws do you not understand- gravity perhaps????? Stop slagging off reputable retailers online and go back to the person you bought the bike from- assuming you didn't actually break it yourself.

Gees, just to add some more salt into the wound. If they have admitted liability for a fault, they should also honour you your postage cost's. If youve still got all the receipts for postage id claim that back as your entitled to it!

Have they not even offered you a replacement frame at cost?
Unfortunately they do have a point if you are not the original owner. If you had a warranty pass on waiver card to fill in when you purchased the bike second hand this may have been different.
Id blame wiggle though, as they should have realised this from the start
