Hi Just got a light motion stella 150. havent used it for my first time yet although iv strapped it to my helmet and wondered round the garden and am impressed. i think i should do the job round the contry lanes.
my question is where do people strap their "to see" light? to your helmet or handlebars? iv also got another small cateye light on handlebars that i will use too.

sorted, just to confirm i was asking where do people strap their TO SEE light......my only tought on it is that if it is on the handlebar surely the light up ahead will be faced with alot of vibration0

Light Training !!!
Although I have a good bike light the ones I'm using at the moment are from Poundstretcher or 99 and fit on a 25mm plastic tube. The tube is plastic conduit from B&Q for £2.50. It's cut to length and the ends flattened with heat to fit across and just below the brake levers with zip ties. I have 2 lights fitted but it would take 6. My offroad bikes have a similar set up. It's wonderful to be able to buy lights for a quid instead of those for a ransom amount....................................................................................................
If you want to be a strong rider you have to do strong things.
However if you train like a cart horse you'll race like one.0 -

Strapped to the bars the vibration is pretty minimal if it is held firm. Vibration only an issue if the light can wobble or bounce on the bars. I'd suggest your main light on the bars and then maybe a secondary descent light to be strapped to helmet. No harm in having 2 descent lights, maybe a bright torch-type or DX/Magicshine, as the backup/head one. Good for pointing towards cars that look like they may need reminding that you are approaching so don't cut-across-me type usage.0
