    LiT didn't put the artist down, so I played dumb and assumed it was You Can't Hurry Love by The Supremes (1966) rather than You Can't Hurry Love by Phil Collins which was number one in 1983.

    When I first read the post I'd forgotten about the Phil Collins version. Although I've never met the girl I had the impression she was rather younger than me.
