A quite dire soundtrack but who fk cares?
The training specificity works very well for me.
I just so hate those Spin classes that are just excuses to play naff pop tunes.... just as well they aint cyclists, I say
Bit expensive, but then again I do them in a weekly turbo session with the club, so avoiding the cost.

  • Big fan of my local spin studio: no membership, fiver a class, run by cyclists.
    Can't say fairer than that.

I'm a spinervals fan boy. Spent the winter doing base aero endurance DVDs 14, 15, 16 and hill climbs 24. Now I'm starting on higher intensity. 1 hr sessions of threshold and higher training 32, 34, 36 whilst still getting in a 3-4 hour long ride once a week.

It's helped me lose 6kg this winter. Tone up and get much fitter. I usually watch some I player while doing the workouts but keep focused on my HR monitor and cadence. Wish I had a power meter but can't afford them. Just have to measure my threshold sessions by perceived effort.

Troy jacobson may be cheesy but the DVDs are a great workout
