the Kodak ZX3 for being an HD, 60fps sports camera that's waterproof and shock resistant without the need for an extra case, an LCD screen which the competitors lack, whilst still being half the price0

They already get props but I'd have to vote for Time Atac XS Carbon pedals.
These thing just work whatever the conditions. They are extremely tough - I have regularly properly smashed mine into rocks with only minimal cosmetic to the body of the pedal - I am pretty sure the mechanism itself is indestructible in normal use. They are far tougher than my previous Shimano M647 despite being about half the weight. I have had a year of use in all conditions with no problems at all and no maintenance other than cleaning with the bike and they still look and feel box fresh.

Best bike...mine obviously....(cough)
Seriously, the 2011/2012 Shimano XTR trail groupset and brakes....supurb performance albeit at a price, the ibrakes are just amazing...it is true bike porn.0 -
Renthal Fatbars, they may not be the lightest but they feel so good and tough as hell.
Revelation RLT Ti Forks, lightweight, stiff, great damping, easy setup and amazing cheap through On One when they have them in stock.Best bike...Craigxxl Evil Sovereign obviously....(cough)0 -
How about a corporate badge of honor for Superstar? Surely more positive feedback has been left on these pages for SS than any other company this year?0

Speaking of which:
Superstar kevlar pads gets my vote. Outstanding performance, if bedded in properly better life than organics, and cheap enough that you can replace several sets for the same price as a single set of Ashima, Goodridge, Avid etc.
Exotic scandium bars, stupidly light, stupidly cheap, plenty strong for most regular use.

Rediculously long name, outstandingly strong tyres, 630g means it's rediculously light for such a well armoured tubeless tyre.0 -

Another vote for superstar - there grips and pads are fantastic.
On the lights comment - thanks for the vote. Bizarrely I got a torch for xmas - it has a claimed 70 lumen. Its still in the packet.0 -
Shimano PD-M530. My first dabble in SPD pedals. At only 40 quid RRP they've served me very well, basically fit and forget. The only reason to spend more would be if you're desperate to save a few grams.Big guy; small air!0
