I got absolutely f*ck all to do with cycling !!
That said, I did get a very nice Tweed Jacket from Crew Clothing (courtesy of the Mrs) and an Ola Jordan calendar from my cat, amongst some other goodies.

I guess I'll have to order those Endura Equipe longs as I didn't get them from Santa !!

Lance documentary on DVD. Everything else was science fiction or comic book related!
  • Exposure Toro light, Christmas, birthday and farthers day pressie all rolled into one.

Bright, but narrow beam compared to my Deal extreme Magicshine.
    I ache, therefore I am.
  • Bryton Rider 50, very pleased. :D

I know Garmin 800 is the GPS of choice with most of you but we could not be regarded as well off and now it is my hands I am very impressed.

Hopefully this should mean no more getting lost

Some nice pressies being received here - that Moda looks rather flash ! With the roads in the mess they are currently I'd justs be polishing it awaiting the arrival of a nice dry day.
Only 2 cycling related for me this year.
Copy of the Nicholas Roche book which might be quite interesting from the viewpoint of a still progressing pro rider instead of a late career or recently retired guy.
Also a Polar bluetooth hr strap to work with my Nokia X6 phone. Tried it in the house as I'd tried and failed to synch a headset previously and it worked immediately. That plus Sports-tracker will be good for my outings on bike and running.
Couple of bits for running too - something I'd started doing again after a break of many years - unfortunately I'm learning that at my age running is a lot harder on the body as I'm already suffering from achiles pain grr
Hopefully that'll clear up and I can use the longs/top/shoe grips/running shop voucher.
A few CDs to help block out the pain of running/turbo'ing : all 3 Volbeat albums (Danish metabilly band) plus a couple of others including a bit of vintage thrash from Kreator.
Oh and a wide-screen LCD monitor to watch streaming races/race DVDs when TV is in use for less important stuff by rest of family.

    Congratulations DD & OMAHB

Only had 1 cycling related pressie on the day, a silicon case for my Garmin.

But I've just been to my LBS and used my Chrimble money to buy some new bib longs. I'll try them at 6:30am tomorrow!
  • I got a lezyne port-a-shop tool kit which I am v pleased with, as I'm still a novice and dont have the right tools so have to make make do with stuff. I am stripping and re-assembling an old bike to improve my bike mechanic skills, so good pressie well timed. ANd the husband got it without habving to be told, which is nice too.
  • got the Park Tools big blue bike workshop manual V2 - nice - so much better than the Haynes thing
  • Cycling socks
    Bernard Hinault Rouler t-shirt
    back dated Rouler annuals
signed by Michael Barry & Camille Macmillan "Le Metier"
    Nalini jersey

I must have been a very good boy this year!

I asked Santa for some Assos knee/leg warmer things.

I actually got some DHB arm warmers (Haribo included, which was nice) and a pair of gloves that were the wrong colour, wrong size and that were broken out of the box.

Oh how I laughed at the irony of it all……..

My Grandson got some Buzz Lightyear figures for Christmas and has brought them on his visit to me. Last night we were playing with them together and I had one of them in my hand when his Dad shouted out "Look Harrison, Grandad's got Woody!" Cue stunned silence.

Got this, not a bad read, a quite witty New York perspective of cycling, a lot of which rings true.

Also a few quids worth of Chain Reaction vouchers, which may turn into these
