+1 for the Nespresso machines. Decent quality coffee, without any mess. Choose the Krupps one as they have fantastic service if anything goes wrong. We had a problem they sent a van round the next day to collect the faulty one and gave us another machine to use whilst ours was being repaired. In the end they couldn't repair it so the gave us a new one, gave us a full length warranty again and a stack of free capsules in recognition of our inconvenience.
If only bike manufacturers had a similar policy.0 -

Magimix Nespresso user here - they are great and pretty mess free.
I had previously had espresso makers but ones sub £100 and all three of them broke within warranty - no issues with the Nespresso as yet.
I also worked out the payback time on it if i had one in the morning instead of buying my Nero on the way to work. i forget the exact figure but it was pretty low - something like 2-3 months.0
