Are you fed up with all the bad news around at the moment? Recession, inflation, unemployment, cold, wind, Eastenders, X-Factor etc. It’s enough to make you roll your eyes and tut!

So let’s have some good news! :D When you get some good news, big or small, post it on here to let everybody know. With enough good news we may put an end to all the bad news knocking about with our inane optimism and self-congratulatory pompousness.

I’ll start:

Good news chaps, yesterday I completed a very difficult Turbo training session which had previously been too difficult for me!

Seriously, after a period of constipation a really good sh*te is not to be sniffed at. Literally.

    Poor kid.

Good news for me today - I got to have the chocolate from the advent calendar. The wife has the even days, I get the odd.

Also had an excellent bowel movement, but that's not extraordinary.

  • Hmmn, when bodily functions are considered good news it may be time to seriously reconsider where your life is going.

  • Checked my workings on some medical research I've been doing over the past few years, realised I'd put a decimal point in the wrong place and had actually found the cure for cancer.......which was nice.

    Poor kid.

If he thinks it is good news then it is. The finances can be sorted out. Without academically gifted kid getting interviews to Universities and then going to them you would not be posting items on Forums such as this.

If you are commenting from experience of the multiday interview he is going to I might understand but I saw no smilie or wish of luck.

Sorry I did not mean to bring the tone down but I am proud of his acheivement and did not like seeing it denigrated

Happened upon woman at wheel of car with no pulse/breathing yesterday.
Worked on her with CPR with Defib for 5 mins before ambulance arrived, carried on CPR whilst ambulance did their stuff.
Got pulse back and assisted breathing.
She was still alive as of a few hours ago.

Is the good news that she won the tickets, or that you're not accompanying her?

Or maybe she's taking a bomb to the event?
