I have some time off in March and plan to head somewhere warm for a week of training. I want sunshine, with hills, somewhere I can hire a decent bike, and where my wife won’t be too bored. I’ve heard Majorca is good, any other recommendations?

Malaga - inland from there is lovely - white villages, olive groves, hills and Cordoba & Granada (really worth a visist to the Alambra) are easy day trips by car or bus. Lots of B&B, pensiones, hostals. HAve fun - don't forget the sun cream0

I believe Andy Cook is going in March, I thoroughly recommend him. Andy and his wife Jacqui are very experienced recreational and competitive cyclists and really nice people

Here..... http://burgauvilla.com/ Not my places, a friends, we just get to use it at discount. Two Lovely Villas in Burgau or a Luxury Penthouse in Lagos. Usually the best and sunniest weather in Europe that time of year. Warmer and drier than Majorca in March. Fantastic roads and the Monchique Mountain range within a 50 minute bike ride, try the 18km climb to the Algarves highest peak the Foia at 902m above sea.
You can ride with the Lagos Road bike club which can have over 25 out on Sundays, Miguel with excellent English runs the Navagador Restaurant in Burgau will take you under his wing for rides with the club and during the week. For those that want a full on training camp in April try this... http://www.facebook.com/events/254459897931644/
