i wasnt sure where to post this......
but ive recently bought a pair of sidi ergo 2 shoes, which i love. ive been riding sidi shoes for years and years.
problem is, they rub the tops of my toes, where the "knuckle" of my toes is. it doesnt cause a blister, it just irritates the area and causes it to swell a little and its a bit uncomfortable.
so i have to resort to wearing plasters on every ride!
has anyone ever experienced this before? i tired the shoes on before i bought them, and i liked the fit etc. they are not too small - so my feet arent crunched up. i have about 2 or 3 mm of room at the front.
anyoen any ideas?
thankyou

I would buy some new shoes and sell the ones I had second hand. If they're troublesome now they will be murder in the heat of summer.
Make sure the strap/fitting nearest your toes is not too tight first off.
As a last resort you could take out the inner sole and replace it with something thinner from a shoe or sports shop but if they rub anywhere you are asking for trouble I think.
Cycling shoes should fit like a glove it is said - but they should not be too small or tight anywhere. The pain of too small/ill fitting shoes on a long hot day in the hills is like nothing on earth and will more likely stop your ride than a blister on your undercarriage :shock:0 -
No had that before, might be worth shoving something in the shoes between rides to try and stretch the toe box0
