Garmin Edge Base Maps - which one ?

Can anyone recommend a good free base map for my Edge 705 that ive just got. I quickly realised the basemap in it wasn't really anygood. I've just installed Uk Garmin OSM Map with Routing from here on to it http://www.mapomatic.net/garmin-maps-download/

At first glance it alot better than the pre-installed base map but i can't help wonder if there is anything better out there. I've been searching the net for a few days now and sure enough there seems to be quite a choice of free base maps and map making utilities, trouble is i just dont know what is good and isn't. Basically all i want is a no nonsense map that has roads on and a good easy map/route maker.

So any recommendations ?

    If you can spare thirty quid just get UK Citynavigator, it will save you a lot of trouble. If you register your device on Garmin you get 10% off.

    As it happens i've just bought them for £26 from here www.handtec.co.uk. Well im hoping i've just bought the right one...............1 x NSD696, Garmin City Navigator UK & Ireland NT (010-10691-00)
