Nah, you'll be better off serving coffee in Starbucks (which, let's face it, is a much more realistic career aspiration for a student once you've graduated).

    Pah,

No man in this country is under the smallest obligation, moral or other, so to arrange his legal relations to his business or to his property as to enable the Inland Revenue to put the largest possible shovel into his stores.
James Avon Clyde, Lord Clyde, 1929

Though different thing between those who can't be arsed and would rather not pay the tax they legally should, and the rest of us who should only pay as much tax as they legally should. Far too many pay too much tax just because they've been (usually incorrectly) told they should pay.

That's my angle as a contractor ;). Minimising tax fine. Protesting and acting as complete dicks and not paying the legal minimum required, not fine. Typically Pikeys. Students have no money so it's daft taxing them really. Just don't let them get away with too many benefits. Let them learn the hard way. That's how I did it. Loans? Pah!

Nice one Kenny - I' heard that bit of case law before but couldn't find it anywhere. Saved to use and wind up the lefty tree huggers on the commuter forum next time they're whingeing about how the rich (i.e. anyone who is doing better than they are) 'don't pay enough tax'...
