Right. New forum = fail. Can changes be made?

I can't log in because of upgrade long time, very sad,
I had to sign in new account.New forum make me dizzy.

This +1. It's the same on FF, IE8, chrome and my iPad. Getting quite annoying.

+2 I see images with the right hand side cut off on all images linked on the forum unless they are tiny. Why is the forum limited to a thin band down the center of the screen i..e only about 1000 pixels wide at a guess?

This is in all browsers. I can't believe nobody else complains about this more? Images are un viewable.

I noticed that yesterday as well... No scroll bar for the images that I can see. (Firefox 8 on Win7). Can't recall if it happens on the XP machines at work.

Other niggly issue, though probably not much of one for most people, is many forums allow you to subscribe to threads you post in but can set the options to not send you an email notification, yet here it doesn't seem possible.

I find this of benefit as I can just use a link to the subscribed threads page (e.g. here it would be ucp.php?i=main&mode=subscribed), and can find the threads I've been posting in and it shows if there's been a reply on any. Otherwise I forget where I've posted and miss replies.

Though this was an issue with the old forum software too so I disabled subscriptions at the time and used the alternate option of the egosearch link which works on many forums (e.g. search.php?search_id=egosearch), but with the new upgrade this isn't showing all the threads I've posted in any more. Sometimes there are more under the subscribed threads page for recent posts, but sometimes they'll appear after a while but then disappear again from the egosearch.

Anyway for now I've gone back to subscribed threads which means I'm getting tonnes of emails that I'll never read. Sure I can just delete them but seems a waste of resources.

it will not show your latest posts until the search program re runs. we are looking to get it to happen at shorter intervals than it currently is using.

Ah, yeah, makes sense it's doing that on intervals. Guess that takes more resources than the subscriptions feature. The subscription stuff is fine just that you can't turn off the emails it seems.

I think that (and a few other things) going to have to wait until the NY unfortunately. We had a large slab of work that had to be done before Xmas with deadlines that couldn't be shifted and that took priority. There'll be more work done next week but it won't be released until January. The timing is handled by a central dept and there's a big pre-Xmas queue as all our websites need things done.

So the recent post/unread posts option will return for each forum?

For example i can just read new posts in road forums? I'm sure this question has been asked many times, probably because its top of the lists for many people. I used to check the forum most days but have only been on a handful of times since the changes.

They should be back soon. We made a few changes that went live yesterday but had to roll it back to make a couple of tweaks. Hopefully it'll happen today.

I don't know if I'm just being thick, but I can't change the font colour.
When I click the Font Colour button a colour chart appears, but if I click the colour I want the font to change to, nothing happens.
Advice please, oh gurus of all things Bike Radar.
