Hi, I have created my own route on (mapmyride) but i don't know to to transfer maps from there to my garmin edge 500? Please help!
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.

I've used bikeroutetoaster to export .tcx files directly to my 500. I think to do it manually you'd need to make sure you had either a .tcx or a .gpx and then copy it into the Courses folder on your Garmin, but I'm not certain of that.

Be warned that there is a well known issue (google it) with the 500 crashing when following courses, particularly longer ones. I am not aware of a solution.

Try this link below from DC Rainmakers website

Haven't done this for a while but think yuo'll need to download the GTC (Garmin Training Centre), free, just do a search for it and connect your Garmin.

    Hope this helps

  • Does the file with the course on go directly to training courses? Thanks.

Yes, put the file in the Courses folder. (I assume you mean is this where you should copy it to?)
