this is the profile of the course, i have been doing TT's all year so im not worrying about anything other then the slightly hilly course, would it be worth riding my TT bike on this or just using my Road bike?

im leaning towards TT bike since i will go faster on the flats and possibly only loose a few mph on parbold hill so i can make that back.

just want someone to reccomend and advice :) thanks!

Def the TT bike with full TT kit. Apart from Parbold hill it's relatively flat. Doubt you would lose much time on the hill; even if you did, you would make it up on the rest of the course. What's your pacing strategy? Are you going top keep it steady state all the way around, or are you going to give the hill some welly?

Not really that hilly, so a TT bike without fail. Only time I would even think about using a road bike on a TT, would be one mega hilly TT that had alot of technical descents, but even then I would probably still opt for a TT bike.

As the hill is towards the end of the TT I would go at it quite hard, but leave enough to power over the top and use the terrain to get a very fast finish.
  • cheers guys! gonna go ride it tomorrow so i can get a better idea of pacing! possibly take it steady up parbold since it's the hardest bit and push it on the rest of the course.

  • TT bike is the right choice, I do the 3 North East MTT's on full TT rig. As for pacing on the hill, I would give it some gas, not flat out but definatley hard effort. In my opinion it is better to put more effort into the parts of the course where more time can be lost and a hill fits this criteria,
