Au natural all the way now, done the boxers underneath and now wouldn't even think of it. To be honest as a scotsman I'm kinda used to the no pants thang anyway....

Fur coat and nae knickers

Jock ginger pubes will cushion anything. It must be like sitting on a well sprung mattress.

    lmao.

Depends, I'll wear sports boxers to keep my balls in the 'right' place on a long ride. Otherwise sans boxers if it's just a quick 1 hour cycle.

I started off wearing pants but decided to try without after reading a similar thread.

    Noticeably more comfortable without...

  • Made the mistake once on my first ever longer ride - It resulted in my crouching behind a bush at the side of the road to take them off. Didn't have a proper cycling Jersey on so i couldn't carry them. Moral of the story - stay away from the base of all bushes on the B485 between Chesham and Great Missenden unless you want a nasty surprise!!!

Au naturel regardless, never wore pants, seemed a bit pointless.

As a southern fairy I like the soft chamois padding against my botty
  • I want to take this a step further!
As the weather is now starting to get colder I have a question for you all. A friend of mine wears his shorts over the top of his bibbed and un-padded longs. Is this right? I personally wear my longs over the top of my shorts so that the pad/chamois is still next to my skin.

    Can we fix it?
    Yes we can!

You can't beat longs over padding for the perfect look.

Pad next to the crown jewels for me.
  • Guy I know in my club happened to wear white shorts on a wet club ride (and I'm talking through one torrential rain shower). Of course, said shorts went transparent, showed his arse in all its glory and was subsequently ribbed about the view that we were having to endure behind.

Now, if he was to wear pants underneath those shorts, not only would he stay damp the whole day, but also chaff his nuts and bolts badly.

Plus, he would get an even bigger ribbing for having transparent shorts and now VPL
