been a pretty nice relaxing weekend with one very stressfull ride on sunday
still a few more tweaks to do on the bike and bits to order so will be doing that so i get it sorted and dialled before next weekend.

Coffee has been consumed and brekki is on the mind.

Empty diary this morning but plenty to catch up on.

  • Morning gays and gayettes,

Terrible nights sleep here. Watched the film The Changeling which is alright, but couldn't get to sleep until around 3, so I'm feckin knackered now

My minion is on holiday, so work will be hell, I'm sure. I don't think today will be a good day.

Ah well, lift in might help.

    Morning bumders

Couple of lectures this morning... should be bearable. Post motem thus afternoon. Can't wait.

Also my weekend was crap and totally without bikes, consequently I'm going to go on CRC later and spend money to make me feel better. No idea what I'll buy yet though. Suggestions?

  • Recovering from yesterday VERY long 20km walk through the mountains with family and friends, was lovely, but my legs are feeling it today. On the way to the Grammas soon, for some nice home cooked meals, then dunno, come home and pretend to work or something.

    Exes and Double exes,

Back in work following a long weekend at the BCCC final round. First time in a few years as a competitor and I have to say, cross-country motorsport is a harsh and violent mistress. But the best Mistresses generally are.

Despite the battering, had a great ride in this morning, and I'm looking forward to pedaling back home later.

matthew H: Some nice shots and some great cars in that rally! We were over Nescliffe training ground - be a cracker for a proper gravel stage.

    Coffee is calling.

    Laters.

  • Greetings Maggots.

Today is a day of pain.. I went to North Yorkshire on Saturday to visit an old [lady] friend
We did some walking while there, not my favourite exercise activity, but it can't do any harm, right?
Well, after ascending up those steep hill on Saturday my legs still hurt this morning, and I don't believe the ride at Cannock did me any favours.

Home based this week, so all good for the week, I love the luxury of waking up at 08h00

    Fecking feck I'm exhausted

Physio, followed by a mile walk, sitting on my @rse all day trying to catch up on work.
Hoping to get out early coz I'm knackered, and might be seeing THP tonight...

Sausage and mash for dinner is the only saving grace of this day.

    Kisses

i know mate. i'm going to book an appointment with the doctor. it's like everytime i do something like a long bike ride (this time it was a 10km run 4 weeks ago!!) i get ill. i've had glandular fever before and it's like my immune system is non existent :?

i hate it, i suppose changing my diet and taking supplements might help, i'm going to try that aswell :(

    Everyone suggests this;
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echinacea# ... al_effects

Didnt work for me but i eat a varied diet and supplement with a few things like CLA, l-carnitine and green tea while training and i very rarely get a cold anymore. I think its the green tea, if you dont like the taste then holland and barret sell it in capsules and its pretty cheap.

The added benefit is that it helps with the fat burning stuff as well (in my case a massive bonus!)

yeah i did used to take that before. i think i'll look at it again and eat more fruit and veg. still gonna go to the docs though.

i don't think my job helps either, where i regulary do 20hr shifts and with a young son who likes to wake up at 5.30/6am my sleep pattern is all messed up aswell :?

    +potato for echinacea
also, zinc is a winner for getting rid of/preventing colds.

I found that cutting dairy out of my diet for over 6 months boosted my immune system, and I've had about 3 colds in the last 8 years - I don't really have much dairy in my diet any more and if I start to feel under the weather I cut it out again, hit the echinacea and zinc and it's sorted.

And you could try sambucol, that helps me as well.

    Afternoon all.

456 is taking shape, it's amazing how quickly you can put a bike together when there's room to move in the workshop. Tora's need serving though, where they've been upside down in a crate for a while they've lost half their travel and the lock out's not working. Can't find my bag of rotor bolts so it's got no brakes :( and feck it seems heavy.

Today is prety meh free, have snaffled the last 2 Heston Christmas puds in the area so both sets of parents are happy and I've got to phone an agency about a job.

If the photos you've posted are actually of you, it's their loss not yours. But that's my opinion in a non stalking, non creepy kind of way.
