One of my colleagues murdering Echo Beach. Ho only knows the line "Echo Beach, far away in time" and keeps repeating it. He certainly ain't Martha, or even a Muffin come to that. Shame as I quite like the song.

In fairness, there aren't many other words to it . . . .

Very true, I can't think of any more now that you mention it. He's still going, just not quite as often. It's more the monotone drawl that upsets me.
Just thought of another bit; "la la la la la la ...time away"

I think I must be like the common cold - I can't find any Cure that really works for me. Sure I can tap a foot to the more 'pop-orientated' 3 min tracks, but these drawn out 12 minute plus numbers just seem narcissistic and conceited to me. Sorry

Battered the car stereo with Carter USM's 30 something album yesterday to and from the old house I'm doing up. Early 90s stampy right-on goodness.

It's the lyrics that are so good though!

As opposed to my earlier partial hearing of a conversation between two female colleagues discussing having a four bird roast on the weekend...............and thinking very naughty thoughts  before realising that they were referring to a frozen poultry item from Aldi. Which is apparently very tasty and good value.

The Sunday ritual of bike wash and lube plus car wash was accompanied by the Black Keys (previous albums on random play) in anticipation of their new release tomorrow - "El Camino". Oooh! I can't wait. :)
  • Well I’m listening to California king by Rihanna which is in her new released album, the song is so nice because of the simple melody and the meaning, and also the video is so nice. Normally I like Rihana’s songs.

The 6 music playlist from spotify. All the music, minus the tedious chat. 6 Music really has gone downhill.

I love Stacey. Saw her live earlier this year and even got to meet her and husband Jim afterwards. Have you seen the video of her duet with Suzanne Vega? She was very embarassed when I reproached her for making Ms Vega look bad. Apparently, the video is from a big show in France where they have guests on and at the end get them to sing a song that neither is familar with - takes talent to pull that off.
