I hear that some giant squid have a phobia of lions though.

No I don't get that either - I did nt read the OP properly at first and did nt see the part stating that they were fake, so I though the fingers were some horrible fungal infection, Athletes Foot x 1000, and the painting was some horrible bug, probably (and racistly) from South America or something.
As said, things living or embedded in the skin freak me out a bit, the second I knew they were fake, they were much less effective - and I learnt some interesting things about lampres - Before that, given that I'm stuck doing work that requires no thought, I could nt shake the feeling of something growing in/on me..bleurgghh!
But back to yeehaas point (but without the arrogance), it's something about the holes in symmetrical patterns that seems to cause trypophobia - not just wierd photos - I'd be intrigued to know why...?We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence
