Canyon's website went off-line a few hours ago for "Maintenance" I wonder what they are doing? maybe updating the catalogue with 2012 bikes?

Wishful thinking maybe?

Would be nice though

OK the bikes are now on sale.

    :D
  • Im guessing every man and his dog is trying to get on the website at the moment, either that or they are serving it off dial-up.
Im looking to pick up a Canyon later this year, I hope they carry decent stock.

Yep, surprise surprise, I can't get onto the Canyon website. Good luck to everryone that's actually trying to buy something :) At this rate their stock problems on some models/sizes will be even worse than before unless they've tooled up for the extra demand.

What excellent timing. Just had an email from Canyon to say that my 2011 Nerve XC 6.0 has been dispatched!

Managed to buy it in the sale for £1180 but now want to know what the specs are for the 2012 bikes (I know, I'm never satisfied!)

Of course, the site is running slower than a slow thing on a slow day.

If anyone manages to break through the sludge and get through to the interesting bits of the site, could they post some specs (or PM me).

    Thanks

Tell me about it, I was really hoping to see some Suntours on them ;)
  • out of interest anyone know what the Fox 32 F120 Evolution RL O/B is like on the xc7??

i tried and failed to get hold of last years models so considering getting a 2012 xc7 but never heard of the fox fork before, i guess its new so wondering how it compares with lets say a reba on the xc6

RL is rebound/lockout, O/B is oil bath. Quite simply the Rebas are lighter, more adjustable and if nothing has changed for 2012, perform better.

Well it wouldn't be Canyon if they didn't, they're reknowned for good quality parts fitted to their frames.

Oh and German cars are better than Jap cars btw.

interesting sonic, i wonder then why they have put the FOX fork in the xc7 while a reba in the xc6.

I allways thought myself that fox forks just shouted quality so were generally better than RS forks thus why they are used in all the top range bikes most of the time.

other than that, its pretty much the same spec bar the Fox Float RP2 XV compared to the Fox Float Evolution RL and x1900 DT wheels compared to the xc7s mavic crossrides.

Again i know mavics are good and so is the fox float, but again never heard of the DT x1900 and the evo RL.

we need a review bikeradar asap of these bikes

Its down to personal preference Blabla.

Fox's are usually rated higher (even in WMB) but thats not to say they're infinitely better, if you want extra adjustability then Rockshox dual airs are better.

Fox have the name that is associated with 'worth a lot of money'. The Evo line is an entry level line for this year though, so are up a bit in weight and don't use the cartridge dampers.
  • Well I want to order the AM 6.0...........

But I can't as their site is impossible to use today. I don't understand why they didn't anticipate this and upgrade their servers! They will be losing thousands of pounds,

Also not looking forward to waiting 8 weeks for the bike........ :(

Finally got on tonight, but the site's still a bit slow. Not bad as expected and still very goof VFM, but not a lot of change from the 2011 versions. Guess they are sticking with a winning formula sales-wise.
