Ive not long finished this bike, which was built as a second bike for me and also one my wife could use. I got the frame for £20 from ebay, which turned out to be an absolute steal as it was in really good nick. I cant remember all the spec as a lot of leftovers went into making it, which was originally why I went 1x8 but now I quite like this setup.

Yep! Didnt quite believe it myself until it arrived!
I am really pleased with this build, considering how little it cost to put together. I am sure it will end up getting some bling eventually! Its kind of hard to resist such a thing.Lapierre Spicy 316 2012

Thought I would update my rides here - it is a slow Friday afternoon after all.
Made a few updates since I originally built the Trailstar, with hand-me-down parts from my retired Mount Vision. Changes:
Slightly tired Formula Oro K24s (not in these pics - soon to be some newer Elixir 3s)
Hope Floaty rotors in black (not in these pics either!)
Rockshox Pike SL coil in Silver
Raw-ed FSA Gravity chainset
Superstar Laser chainguide
Superstar Nanos in chrome
Superstar AM490 wheelset in white
I will try take some sexier photos with the new brakeset on show. I realise of course that the Hope rotors are unnecessary but then this entire bike is unnecessary.
Will probably use this bike for the Glentress 7. It's not exactly a speedy racer but it climbs well and is great fun pointed down. Lighter than my Spicy too (probably!).Lapierre Spicy 316 2012

Nice, one of my mates rode his Trailstar for years and years. That saddle angle looks slightly concerning though!0
