Polar have an online one - which tots up total ride time/kms etc - good for planning as its drag & drop.

I just use Lotus 1-2-3 97. Shows total mileage, time, average ride length, median ride length, average speed per ride, average speed overall, elevation per 10 miles, rolling average speed, etc.

Yep, that's right folks, I'm using software from 1997. Works a treat, loads in a fraction of a second, and does everything I want it to.

    Now, where's my abacus?

F--k me... Lotus? I had to use that for GCSE I.T. and never heard of it again after that.

It's only just one level above MS-DOS, is a tiny program, and uses squilch all memory. I'd rather have that than the latest version of Office any day, which i find incredibly unintuitive, and has layers of functionality which I'm never going to use. And despite using Open Office if I have to do Word documents or Excel spreadsheets, I still quite like Lotus Word Pro as well. I've got the original installation CD, so just pop it onto each new computer I get. Installs in no time at all.
  • Either trainingpeaks, garmin connect or Strava as far as on-line diaries go they are hard to beat.

Mate, I wasn't asking you to justify your use of it - I was just expressing my surprise after not hearing anything about it for over a decade.

I've been using a real actual calendar to plan and log my training, and mirroring it with google calendar. I'm wondering whether MyTracks will come in useful just for recording time. I know you can view your tracks on a monthly table, so in theory I should be able to make a graph of time spent training per day and per week.
