before I get too old and knackered I'd like to ride on the road but in a real desert. I have found
http://www.maginternational.org/silo/fi ... ochure.pdf
but it seems rather expensive at £3549 for 7 days, even though the profit goes to a good cause.
Does anyone know of other charity or holiday road / touring bike rides say in N.American deserts for 2012?

Why not just get a cheap flight down to Morocco and start riding?
That's my plan for 2012.It's an uphill climb to the bottom0 -
Could do and I cycle all over the UK and bits of Europe on my own but I'm getting on and the Mrs would prefer me to have back up. Nevertheless, it is plan B.0

The Adventure Cycling Association does lots of tours, including ones in Death Valley:

I think if you get yourself to the States, they would be a good value option, they have a good reputation.0 -
