Including all the neutralised stuff, it's more than 260km..
Just as well, if all the flat chat is right.
280km + 20km neutralised, isn't it?

300km ? Sheeesh. Never mind the effect on the cyclists - how many chocolate biscuits will i need to watch that ???
Spose I'd best actually ride my bike and catch up mid afternoon. Any idea what time the finish is ? I guess its Sunday - but could be midday Monday at this rate...0 -
Looking at Sagan's palmares the only remotely comparable race in terms of distance and parcours that he's shown anything at was GP Plouay last year (7th). I think it may be a year too early for him, though I think i said that about Cav in MSR 2009.
I still fancy Cav for this with such a strong team, he just needs to find the same legs he had at MSR 2009... If Cav doesn't make it to the finish I expect a sprint between Friere and Hushovd. I have a feeling that if Cav gets dropped so will Goss and Griepel, particularly as neither of them have shown much form recently.
I am looking forward to it, hoping for an exciting last hours racing. Gilbert and Cancellara will certainly try something so there should at least be some fireworks."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

S'what pro cycling said.
S'why you've got to back MS-R winners and podium guys.0 -

According to the organisers, the total is 266 km
The elite Road Race World Championship 2011 starts at Copenhagen City Hall Square with a 28 kilometer stretch (incl. 6,2 km Masterstart) before the riders enter the first of 17 laps at fourteen kilometers each in the Municipal north of Copenhagen at Rudersdal.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0 -
Cav being the wide open fav I think will work against him. As much as I really want Cav to win. I really cannot see it happening as far too many teams will be wanting to work against him.
Team GB are strong but I just have a feeling they are going to be put through the ringer on this course.0 -

That's probably what Hugh Porter thought as well. I remember the 20 minute gap in commentary from Beijing where he admitted on air he was going off to get lunch.0 -

Booooo
Should you have put an 'm' on the end of that - or isn't he riding'Do not compare your bike to others, for always there will be greater and lesser bikes'0 -
I know the comment was made about the difference between elite men and jnr ladies, and there'll be a difference in elite men and u23 men. But the u23 mens sprint looked very sluggish up the climb. So it might be a harder climb to sprint than we think (especially after 260km).
I think I'd have to back Hushovd over Cav, hope to be wrong though.0 -

The Aussies used to say that about us in cricket - seems the upstarts are rouffling a few feathers...0 -

Perhaps one of the lowly riders (no disrespect, there must be an Uzbeki or something that hasn't got a prayer) will take the 15k and wipe Cav out on the start straight.
