Ian Lee used to do a stint on LBC in the evenings a few years ago, he would get people phoning in with random comments and making strange noises down the phone, very weird but funny.

Try Absolute Radio 11:00pm - 1:00am weekday nights. Quality! Surely you've been missing Barry from Watford?

  • You lot get a chance to listen to radio?
  • Planet Rock or try the Boneyard on satellite radio in the US. The Boneyard is the best rock radio station I've ever listened to.

Kerrang when I'm in the car. Don't really listen to the radio any other time.
    MTB/CX

"As I said last time, it won't happen again."
  • Radio Scotland... decent mix of music and chat. Tom Morton in the afternoon, broadcasting from his croft on Shetland is sublime.
"Encyclopaedia is a fetish for very small bicycles"
  • +1 for planet rock (although the ads to get a tad annoying sometimes - WeBuyAnyCar.com :x )

    Radio 2

Evans in the morning, Mayo at drivetime. The different shows which starts just after Mayo at 7pm are usually pretty good too.

Radio 5 for sport and Mayo/Kermode film reviews

Radio 4 if theres anything happening in the world

+1. spot on. the only thing i would add, is radio 4 extra if i fancy a bit of comedy or drama. :D

  • Glad Planet Rock got a mention. The telly is rarely on in chez BBGeek, but one of the stations we listen to a lot is Planet Rock. Very good, but the ads (especially the Autoglass ones...hang on, there's one on right now...grr) are annoying. But they do have some great shows. The current re-runs of Gary Moore's (RIP) blues show are superb.

  • Nation Radio, no pop music, it's heaven!! Mostly rock/guitar stuff although they do play stuff like Adele but no madonna/gaga/westlife shite!!!
