Seems as I was unable to convert my Foil to Ultegra Di2 I decided to upgrade the stem and handlebar to full carbon Ritchey ones :)

I was considering upgrading my wheels on the scott foil to the Carbones SL... How do they ride? What are the pluses and minuses?

    Your bike looks absolutely killer!

    They ride amazingly...

They are light, stiff and have great aero properties. The only downside to those kind of wheels is cross-winds, but thats something you just need to get use to.

If you got the Mavic MP3 insurance, do you remember the Epic dealer code for the website? The one they gave me doesn't work! Thanks

    Hi everyone,

Just have a look at your post and pics, and your bike really looks close to the one I wanna buy in the next days.
I just have a question to the owner of this beautiful bike.
On the first pics we can see that your bike has been delivered with a no lay back seatpost , but after all it seems you changed the seatpost for a new one. So my question is how did you get that new seat post, and how much does it cost?
I actually live in France and my dealer doesn't seem to know how to get it?
Thank you very much for your answer.

I also saw you meet troubles about DI2 integration, can you tell us more because on Scott Website, it is mentionned Scott foil is DI2 compatible.
    Thanks again.

    Thanks for the comments :D

Regarding the seat post... this was an error when I received the bike. I contacted my dealer in the UK and they swapped it with the correct lay back version.

Regarding Di2... I tried to run the internal cable system and on the Foil 20 its just not possible, there aren't the correct routing holes and believe it or not the internal cable wouldn't fot through the rear chain stay to the rear mech.

The Foil 12 is machined differently hence why it can house Di2!

  • Being a Scott owner I am biased but I love em and your Foil looks fantastic! Enjoy :D

(I was having a mooch around my LBS yesterday looking at the 2013 Scotts. This years crop look very nice indeed!)

Generally I think white saddle and bar tape on a black bike looks tacky, but this bike really pulls off the look. Really, really smart bike!

Can't say I'm not jealous right now...

You haven't got that bike fever where you want a different bike, have you? Assuming not, seeing that you still love this bike. I've had mine for 5 months and want rid!
