If you are regularly doing 60 you will be fine for 100 miles.

Its more about how you ride, not just how many miles. But I agree that with your 60 mile weekend rides you'll be fine. Maybe try to increase the weekend distance each weekend by a few miles. To get the most out of your weekday rides you'd probably be best to either treat them as threshold intervals (if possible) or just ride as hard as you can. There's no point in just going out for a 25 mile ride at the same steady pace as your weekend ride.
    More problems but still living....

You'll be fine. Just make sure your 25 milers are hard 25 milers. Thats all I do, and I can ride 100 miles no bother.

...........provided you pace your 100 mile ride sensibly. Go off with a group that is too quick for you to be comfortable in and it'll all end in tears.

Ride the whole event at a steady pace and keeping eating and drinking little and often right through and you should be fine.

you'll be absolutely fine, and then some. I was doing 15 mile round trip commutes and 25 miles round richmond park twice a week

was fine for 90 miles in surrey. Just spend as much time killing it out of the saddle on the hills
  • Easily enough training. I only managed 1 long ride of between 50-70 at a weekend and the occasional weekday ride of 30, all steady miles without any form of intervals or workouts, and I just did my first 100 last sunday in 6:10.
Try get in a good group of riders who are about the same speed. It makes a massive difference in the amount of time it will take and the effort it will take to get round :)
