yeah we parked in the carpark right near yogourt pots and did that a few times before going to do the telegraph pole, this was possibly the most fun i have ever had ever, including wales! also did Barry Knows Best, which was awesome and gnarley and could of gone so wrong! but thats what makes it so much fun. definatly going back!

I wouldnt like to of attempted some of the stuff yesterday in the damp or wet, the amount of faith you had to put in on off camber roots and drops was unbelievable!

Nice one. Last time we had someone guiding us so didn't have to think about directions. How did you know where find all of the runs? As I won't be able to remember next time !

Ta for that. Your right leg gets it's 15 minutes of fame :D Think I recognised Telegraph Pole?

BTW Surrey Hills is better then Bedgebury in winter as it drains better - Bedge gets very swampy in the dark months. When we did Surrey Hills in mid November it was still great to ride.

If you guys are planning to go to SH have a look in London Calling in rides. Normally someone there most weekends and we know a lot of it.
Some good rides on Pitch Hill, Leith, Winterfold and Ranmore as well as Holmbury (ps it's Telegraph Road not poles.) Redlands has some evil bits but is horrible when wet which is most of the time.
Sometimes do an epic - Leith, Holmbury, Pitch, Winterfold and back again.
Definitely the best riding in the south.

If you plan to get there just post a time day etc and see who responds - some real sluts there, couldn't organise a p1ss up in a brewery but if somethings planned they'll be there.
We ride all the way through winter anyway - some of the best rides were just after new snowfalls. You can't see the nasty roots etc and fresh snow gives amazing grip.

How far are you from Bedgebury? Can you make it next Friday evening?
  • Lovely looking ride you had there, camera angle was a bit hard somethings. Looked like some serious quality riding though.

It's about 30 miles from me - not sure whether I'll be able to make it next Fri though - will have to see what's happening next week. Will let you know if I can. How late are you going? (as in will we need lights as have not yet bought any)?
