Sudden knee pain....

Random one here. Had a bout of sudden chronic knee pain, outside of right knee and not isolated to one spot.
Dont suffer normally, mileage is a consistent 400-500 a month over 10 / 12 recorded rides since Feb as my recorded year /diary so not 'over training'. Why could it suddenly go? Seeing a pyhsio on Weds, but to be forearmed etc. No changes in cleat set up, position or saddle height etc. Just came outta nowhere as they say.

Maybe ITBS ?
((I'm assuming that you haven't recently suffered a 'traumatic' tweak to either your lateral meniscus or lateral ligament - nor that you've got arthritis)).

If your knee joint has been experiencing any increased varus torque? you might feel chronic pain in your IT band (or certain other lateral structures) for a period of time (either during exercise, or if its bad, at rest aswell).0
