Abdominal strain recovery

Busted a gut doing a pull-up on a bar. It seems to be a level 1 strain, ie not too serious but the advice is to stop all training and leave it to rest and recover for a couple of weeks.
All I'm doing is some light riding on the flat around town and walking.

Anyone else had abdominal strain. What was your recovery time. Any long-term consequences?
