Who are your National Treasures?

5 votes or more and I'll add them to a list in this post - then it will be all official like and we can all wonder at them and stuff.

1. Sir Richard Attenborough

Well both are quintessentially English and have been knighted, so the queen seems to think they are worthy of something. I'm going to stick with my votes

The BT ad girl - shame she's marrying that lanky bloke, and that I'm marrying my "other half".

Mine is fully aware of my lustful thoughts about the BT ad girl......and she picked that Aussie Greek bloke with the initials PA....and I can't even bear to type his full name.

Oh, and another pick (purely because he is a real man)......Gene Hunt. Audi Quattro, and all of those one-liners, pure political incorrectness. Love it!

The thing is with Attenborough is that he was on Blue Peter I think it was and he was trying to recognise animal noises it was such a set up he said giraffe or something when is was a monkey and then sure enough the giraffe was next.. so he'd already been told what was coming... most look this up I know it wasn't a giraffe.. but you get the point.

    :)

Jackie Stewart, Sean Connery, Michael Caine, Rod Stewart. All tax exiles, can't be National Treasures when they've avoided giving to the Treasury. IMHO.
