Why verbally abuse a fellow cyclist?

I sympathies with the OP, but I also can't stand the Murdoch Empire for many reasons, but mostly for their media power that they have used to dictate to the UK government (can anyone remember the last time a government was elected without the support of the Murdoch Empire?)
So I detest Sky and the Murdoch Empire, but I wouldn't ever go as far as shouting abuse to a fellow cyclist. Unfortunately some people have much stronger views and opinions.
My only advice to the OP would be:
- switching to supporting a team with a sponsor with a reasonable amount of ethics, but probably wouldn't stop abuse from a supporter from an opposing team, but I'd be happier LOL
- don't wear team kit
- lean to ignore it when it happens, and just smile. I think the amusement on his side will wear off after a while.
TBH, it's no difference from supporting a football team or the likes.
Lets face it, some people get very personal and have very strong views on whether you use a Canon or Nikon DSLR. For a person who's hobby might be taking photos of butterflies or flowers, having heated arguments over a piece of electronics probably seems outrageous. But the flame wars on Photography sites, they are something to be researched on the power of companies nowadays.
The power of advertising means we no longer buy products - we 'invest' in brands, as if they are somehow part of our family. So it's no wonder why people have such strong views nowadays.Simon0 -
I'd shout it too...£23.50 a month for a pile o shite and repeats, but especially because they only ever screened Season 1 of Breaking Bad, and I've been forced to buy Season 2 and steal the subsequent 3+ongoing 4 from Pirate Bay. Yeah, Sky suck and I'm off to find my calculator- reckon I could get a new £1k end of season bike every 3 years with the money if I stick it in a jar somewhere!!
F**king SKY!!!!!0
