1. Release all the wolves, bears and lions from London zoo at 6pm tonight. After making sure they're hungry and angry.

2. Ecstacy in the water supply.

3....?

Unfortunately they'd all be full up after eating only a few 'rioters'...

Nothing posted to this thread can top the 'Send in the polar bears' comment on the other thread.

The serious answer is that this will burn itself out in a couple of days.

There is no political/ social agenda to galvanise the rioters.

They'll go home when they're bored, tired or if it starts raining

    or if it starts raining

I genuinely think rain could end it. A couple of nights of crappy weather would take all the momentum out of it. If your mates aren't going out 'cause it' chucking it down then you lose the cover of being in an overwhelming mob. After a few days of police rounding up the troublemakers the incentive to steal will be knocked right down.

Plus there can't be much left to nick.

Oh dear, casual racism again?
  • The London mob have never in thier many centuries of activity been slow to make thier prescence felt on the issues of the day, in a tradition that goes back to the Peasant's Revolt at least. Unlike thier Paris counterparts, however, they have never actually fostered a full scale revolution, of formed a commune, never having had that sort of clarity of purpose. This may be a cultural difference between the citizens of those two cities, but this will all blow over in a few days. Especially as the weather is not particualrly hot.

It is not meant like that. I live there and I know that these kids like Nando's!

It rained quite hard on sunday - maybe that was why it was a bit quieter.

I know, that's why they have SA newspapers, but the food/setting is (or pretends to be) Portugese.
