Egg throwing Grey van man!

Heading back from a group ride i was on my own at this point where a van passed me and threw an egg. It missed me and smashed just in front of my bike. Absolute nuttter! they then had the cheek to come back down the road and shout abuse. Why? No reason what so ever!!!! They got a shock when I turned round and started to try and catch them to the point they went through a red light to get away!!! not that smart after all!

This is the first time this has happened to me in over 5 years of road cycling.

How people get off on this is beyond me as it could cause serious injury not only from the egg hitting the rider though if the rider is then to crach on the road, its not worth thinking about.

I felt I had to stand up to these idiots. I know some of you may think it would be wiser to keep my head down and keep going though I couldn't let this go.

I hope these idiots have realised that roadies are not to be mucked about.

    I think "grey van man" has taken over from WVM!

    Mid week ride and I got cut up 3 times in the same 200 metre residential street by GVM, on his mobile, probably even totally oblivious to the fact I was even there let alone had to literally lay rubber to stop. Later elbow checked by another GVM (ironically The 'blind' fitter man...I just have to remind myself that 90% of these van drivers are fuktards that havent got the intelligence to do anything other than "drive a van" for a living...Friday night=Stellla in da pub/spliffs in da gaff/football on da telly/curry wiv me mates...

    Of course I generalise here and some are great and hang back on blind corners and country lanes until I wave them past and they of course get a wave of thanks. Unfortunately the majority are brain dead idiots. Egg throwing is a total display of the retarded intellect that many of these numpties possess and obviously find amusing.

    Well i hope Ray saw the funny side of it as most on here mean no harm.It can be scary sometimes what drivers do,but i have found it best not to let that stop you doing what you enjoy.
