Just had a look at that detailing site - who an earth "details" a Ford Mondeo estate!

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad car, but why!?!?!?

yee detailing means cleainging your car properely,

So highlighting tyres, clay baring and waxing, and various other things to reduce the appearance of scratches.

Cleaning involves soap water sponge wipe the muc off and leave.

personally i just wash n wax mine every couple of weeks.
  • Wonder how long it's going to take for them to detail London.

Only blokes could find a new word for cleaning.

I wonder if some of these guys (and it must only be guys) detail their houses?
Cool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

Btw, if that website's yours. It could do with some detailing. Top menu doesn't display properly in IE8.

  • I don't confess to being a professional car detailer but I have been known to spend 2 days per car claying/paint correcting/polishing/waxing/tyre dressing my car/SWMBO's car and both my parents cars.

There's nothing wrong with looking after your property and having pride in what you own.

SWMBO thinks I'm mad as I've also clayed/polished/waxed my Kona :D during its build, my excuse was it makes it quicker to clean so I can spend more time with you

No, but there IS something wrong with spending two days cleaning your car. Go see a psychiatrist.

I only ever buy 3-400 quid cars so no point cleaning them - I used to have a company car and prided myself on having the dirtiest car in the car park - I owned it for 18 months and never cleaned it - the bastards at the dealership took it away for a service one day and cleaned it - I was very upset, I was quite attached to some of that dirt.

I spend more time cleaning my Motorbikes than riding them.

I've even been known to clean bikes over winter without them having been ridden, just to get rid of the surface dust etc.

As you can imagine, i wasn't too happy last week listening to my KTM slide down the track next to me as i low-sided it.

    Almost all good now :)

Got to be said I detail my car, ie clean it properly and yes it's a Mondeo estate and yes sometimes I take two days over it. But it does look good, for a Mondeo and it does seem to stay cleaner longer.

I also clean my bikes the same every now and again. I know sad but true.

Meguairs Gold Class shampoo, applied with a lambs wool mitt obviously. Meguairs clay bar detailing kit, Auto Glym Ultra shine polish and finish with Colonite car wax. Not forgetting Meguairs Hot Wheels for getting that showroom new tyre look.
