    I'd rather have a better battle between 2 or 3 protagonists rather than 8 ones who aren't really in it (despite what commentators say).

    I also think the bigger the gaps on GC are earlier on, the freer riders are to get out of the peloton and do something.

    With 8 people in contention come the final week means 7-8 teams controlling stuff.

    yeah which why a dream tour has those contenders falling away out of contention

    how would you have got the big gap

    the only option on this tour is have the ITT early and make evans defend it for 2 weeks

    I'd get rid of the TTT, have the Pyrenean stages much earlier, with one of the pyrenean stages over 240km, and a flat 50km TT just before the mountains.

    I really enjoyed this TdF, I can't score it because I've not watched enough tours close enough to comment, but this was the best of the last few years.
    I don't like the TTT, it's just wrong. It's fun to watch, and I enjoy that, but they need to mix up how it gets calculated into a riders GC time.
