It looks more pro with the glasses over the straps - isn't that reason enough?

Are the black ones just as good?
I've never tried the dark ones, just the esp shade, as I've never felt the need for anything darker.

    Rudy Project.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

    Mine have just arrived.

They're utterly a quality item: still can't quite believe these were just over fiver! They don't look too daft, either.

The wrap around nicely, too: I've been suffering with hayfever a little where my eyes go bright red after a ride. The Aldi glasses cut out quite a bit of wind, but these look perfect.

I am still in shock that something so decent is so cheap.

Thanks again for the recommendation. Definite +1 here!

I blew the budget and went for these

Amazing quality, and easily the peer or better, of the stuff going for £50+ I think I might just buy another pair. :D

I bought a pair of yellow mambos. They're great but a bit bigger than I anticipated. I don't think I'd wear them off the bike...

Just been out for an hour mountain biking and they seem pretty comfy and really pretty good for the price.

So you can get an idea, here's a photo:

I've got some Bloc sunglasses so I reckon another pair of clear Bolles or perhaps the photochromic.

Anyone got any of the others that aren't quite as butch? The 'groove' ones peddle up mentioned look pretty much just like my Bloc sunglasses so might be a pair of them required...

My glasses tend to go over my straps, because I usually put my helmet on first. That said, it's a ball ache when I take my helmet off, because it usually comes off before my glasses !

Yeh something similar happened to me today with my prescription glasses earlier today. Fortunately I managed to catch them one handed. Since I am a professional driver and am legally required to wear them for work, this could have been a costly incident. I do however find it very uncomfortable wearing my glasses under straps.

Yes, they are similar to my Blocs but a little larger. The blue lenses are very cool and they emit that "don't mess with me, I've got a cadence sensor fitted" vibe :D

+3 for the Bolle's I have tinted, clear and yellow. Lost a pair recently, if they had been Oakley's I'd have been properly upset but £6 and 2 days later and I was back in business.

New specs tested. I pity da poor fool who pays more than £11 for a pair of cycling glasses. :D
