Right oh,

as if it was ever going to be in doubt given the range of talent and lunacy we have at our disposal we have officially won out division and we've come third overall. As you know first on the podium means prizes and that brings us to the question of who we are going to donate to.

I'm suggesting this thread is for nominations and then we can add a poll later.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm nominating Companion Cycling in Bushey Park. Similar to last year's winners, Wheels for Wellbeing, the offer escorted rides on adapted bikes to disabled children.

A good friend's daughter has just started riding with them and she's over the moon about it, literally the highlight of her week.

Can we put it towards the bail/fine asked of the guy who just face pied Murdoch?

I guess he was doing us a public service.

Seriously though...... the original idea is a great one as long as they don't teach the kiddies how to overtake me in the mornings.

Often see them in the park, can't think of a better cycling related cause.

After seeing the one armed kid on an MTB with a special hook on Embarrassing Bodies I'll +1 them for what it's worth.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

Sorry, don't know the parameters - does it have to be cycling related?

If not, the crisis in Somalia is pretty high on my list

    Doesn't have to be.

However, it's a little unclear what the prize actually is:
The team with the most points in each category will win cycling goodies to the value of:

So it might actually be cycling kit. If that is the case we'd have to turn it into cash before giving it to a non-cycling related charity.

Last years prize was "leisure" vouchers. Accepted at various outlets.
I was hoping that W4W either put them to use for the group or did something like a raffle to turn them into "proper" money.

    Yeah, sorry.

I've received an email from TFL asking for a postal address and they said they would get it in the post asap. Gave them my wife's work since she drives the commute but after 10 days nothing had turned up and the Mrs has been on holiday this week. She might be popping into the office tomorrow and I'll keep you informed.
