    Good moaning all

Day 4 of the horse placement today, apparently there are some important inspection people coming so I have to behave, no wheel barrow racing or muck slinging competitions today :(

Anyway this evening I shall do something with my bike, possibly clean it, in the meantime I'd better be going, got to ride to the placement and get there by 8, fortunately it's a 45 minute ride so by the time I've found where I left my shoes last night, got my lunch together and finally got off the interweb I'll only be 15 minutes late...

I also stole some 15 yr olds dust caps this morning, so i'm happy :)

Well, it had to happen sooner or later, I've discovered that one of the local councillors is a bit of a milf and is actually better looking in real life than her photo.

Apart from that work, work, work!

    'Ning!

Today is Friday for me, win. I insured my car last night, win. (Got to grab a cover note so I can tax said motor) I slept through the whole night, win. Seeing THP tonight, win. There has been talk of him staying over the night, win.
    Winning!
So the only downside to the whole day is the fact that I'm actually at work, and have some meh to deal with!

    Kisses

It's really not hard to draw and cut out a fake one! It's just a crinkle cut circle and a few numbers with a glittery date on it.

Don't forget the lube for THP tonight...

I checked on the DVLA website and you're only covered for that if you have a disc that's expired in teh last 5 days. Believe me, if I could do it online and drive this weekend I would!

As for the photographer....I feel genuinely a little scared for him. She's gonna come at him like a steam train. Would you like me to take his place instead? (minus the strap on bit...that's not my bag).

you get something like 7 days grace when taxing online so if you do it now you can drive until next thurs with no tax disc (might be 5) which will be useful as it sounds like after tonight you won't be able to walk for that length if time!

This was also my understanding until I read this:
"I have not received the tax disc. Can I use the vehicle without the tax disc displayed?

When you apply for a tax disc online or by using our phone service you are able to legally continue to drive your vehicle for up to 5 days after the tax disc has expired while you wait for the new tax disc to arrive. This will only apply when you have applied for a new tax disc before the current one expires. You should continue to display the expired disc on your vehicle, until the new one arrives."

My last tax disc expired at the end of June.

i drove my car for about 6 weeks with no tax disc, just the printed off bit of paper from when i bought it online...the disc got lost in the post!!!! i did get stopped once and the policeman said that i could be done for failure to display a current tax disc but he was cool and realised i'd paid for it, it just hadn't turned up!!

So even as a fellow cruddite do we need to go through official channels? I thought we'd have a nice little handshake and that'd be enough to sort me out a night of chuff chuffing.

ahhh small print, I would say that your more considered and frankly less gung-ho approach to car taxation may have just paid dividends, I was unaware of the stipulation "before the old one expires". In which case you probably are safest making a trip to the post office.

Apologies for the impetuous nature of my advice
