Looking forward to the Vuelta. Should be a good race with those contenders that crashed out of the Tour looking to do something and a strong Spanish list of big names as usual. Enjoyed the race last year so i hope its a good one this.

Surely Gilbert won't ride this as prep for the WC will he?

Leigh Howard self confirmed and HTC will have a "full roster of sprinters" according to him

I think poor sprinters, no many chances (13 mountain stages, 1 ITT, 1 TTT and some uphill finish)

Three finishes on 23%+ climbs (and one 18%)... wow

With all the world's sprinters riding the Vuelta in preparation of Copenhagen, those 4 or so sprinters' stages will be hotly contested...

I think The Vuelta have to have his own personality, and don´t design his route thinking in nobody.

Just remembering the Giro´s of Saronni and Moser

I don't know how reliable that website is, but @mrendell has also said he'll be involved, thus implicitly confirming the news.

Tour of Spain listed on http://www.itv.com/itv4/

Edit: Having a quick scroll through the guide it looks like a similar level of coverage to the TdF: 2+hrs live per day + (half-hour) highlights

That's great news they are showing it on ITV4 for those without ES.
I saw in Procycling today the San Lorenzo de El Escorial at the end of stage 8 as being listed as 28% in sections... OUCH  !!!!
I can't wait for the Vuelta, one of my favourite races. I reckon this year could be a cracker.

From Vuelta site: The finish in San Lorenzo, with ramps of 27 and 28%, may mark some differences in the pack if they have not completed the previous climbs.

I really hope that the Vuelta this year is as good as last years, the course certainly looks good.

Which Belgian channels show the Vuelta? I will be over there for stages 7,8 and 9. Can take the old sat dish too like, or find a nice like bevvy house. Hopefully watch Stage 8 in the RVV Brasserie
