I had SPD-SLs on my roadbike but put SPDs on my fixie after the roadbike died.
I'm still thinking about doing the Dunwich Dynamo and if I do, I'm thinking about putting the SLs on the fixie as the shoe/pedals are a little lighter and slightly more suitable for a 100+ mile bike ride.

If someone said I could only use one or the other in the future, I wouldn't complain as they are both good and I'm used to both. If I had a choice about which pedal it would be, I would probably choose SPDs but there wouldn't be much in it.
FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
    FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

    I'm hungry. I'm always hungry!
