Livestrong, Fraud?
I know there are questions over Armstrongs involvement with doping, but does this question the integrity of the work the charity do?0 -
I am clothed by decathlon (generally a random match of cycling shorts and sports tshirt )0

again how so? Is there any evidence anywhere that LiveStrong is fraudulent?
With regards to Armstrong's "involvement" with doping.....unfortunately it comes with the sport. Every single pro cyclist has an involvement with doping.....yet again....has Armstrong ever failed a drugs test?
No!0 -
I was going to purchase this (Yes, I ride Bianchi) but haven't due to the lack of visibilty.
I may have to go for this one instead. Not quite the maillot jaune. 8)
Pain is weakness leaving the body.....I have a lot of weakness!

If your budget will stretch to the Moviestar top why not consider Torm jerseys?
http://www.torm.cc/index.html
I've bought a T1 and was impressed so ordered another plus some arm warmers. Really nice quality kit. Some would say as good as Rapha!0 -
they have a bit of a Rapha look to them....certainly the T2 jersey0
-
Or buy a cheap plain jersey and put a band of white masking tape around the arms0

That's exactly what I'm saying Olly, I think you've misunderstood my post.0 -
I understand the need to wear lycra to shave those critical tenths off your times but seriously why spend so much on clothing. If your worried about aerodynamics why not ride naked, trust me it is very invogorating.I wish I was Kenny "F@#king" Powers0

I've got a whole mix of jerseys - some plain, some team. My team jerseys all tend to be older, defunct teams but I do like the new Europcar green. I'd say ride in what you like and to hell with anyone else. In my experience the folks who give you a cheery nod or a wave don't care a jot what you're wearing, and they're the types of cyclists I like and like to think I am myself.0

I currently wear a neon Blue karrimor Jersey on mondays - wednesdays and then i tend to wear my Team Sky Jersey on thursdays and fridays
I also have some other Karrimor jerseys so i wear what is clean!
Dont get too hung up on it - if you like it and can afford it buy it.
I like the Movistar kit as well."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

Depends on your body shape.
I'm 5'8" and nearly 15.5 stone and look truly ridiculous in my team gear however if I pedal fast enough I can't hear the pedestrians I have just ridden past laughing at me and once out in the countryside I can tell myself and any herds of cows I see that I'm Cav and exist in my own little world of being a weekend professional0 -
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0

This week I say this guy roll up for a race in this

I thought, he'd made an effort at least, but resolved to be always in front of him during the race.0 -
Wear what you like the look of as you would all the rest of the time.
I recommend ribblecycles.co.ukfor team jerseys, they are about the cheapest around.Cannondale Synapse Carbon 2009

i've just left the motorcycle world and exactly the same situation comes up there.
i've only been cycling a few weeks and feel much better riding in my marmite jersey and black bib shorts than i did in an old t shirt and football shirts.
as for people wearing football kit, at least you\re out there riding as oppososed to sitting in the pub shouting at the tv lolTo be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid......

I just wear long baggy camo shorts with nike air trainers and any old t-shirt i decide to throw on before I go out, dont care what anyone says or thinks. Not interested in "looking the part" or getting anyones approval and certainly not buying into a lifestyle just because I love cycling. I have other things going on in my life and cycling is only one aspect of my fitness regime (much better for your joints than running)0

Not currently listed by the importer, so I assume it's either no longer made at all, or may be a winter-only model.
Here's an alternative, similar but not the same:

And another, a bit cheaper but curently unavailable - should hopefully be available in a few weeks:

I declare an interest,

Bit confused by the sizing for Nalini tops - I'm usually a medium in most UK shops for ordinary clothes. I'm 33" waist and 38" chest.
The sizes seem a bit weird - waist 26-28 and chest 36-38 for a medium or 28-30 and 38-40 for a large. Neither of these seem right!
Can anyone help me avoid buying a top that doesnt fit?? I dont think I ever bought a top/t-shirt/jersey that had a waist measurement!0 -
I ahve a sneaking suspicion that being an Italian brand you may need to go 1 normal size up.0

The only team jersey I have is a very old Alfa Romeo one which I bought because I'm a thru & thru Alfisti (owned 16 and race an old one). Trouble is it's a touch snug on me so I haven't actually yet worn it. I should really sell it on again.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

With reference to OP.
Only if it is ill fitting; otherwise wear what you like.
Why on earth anyone should post on a forum seeking the approval of a bunch of total strangers as to riding apparell is strange. Wear what you like mate and if others have an issue with it inform them it's they who really have a problem not yourself.
Having said that I wouldn't compete in a TT/race wearing "trade kit". I don't think you'd be allowed to anyway.Tail end Charlie
The above post may contain traces of sarcasm or/and bullsh*t.0 -
I to would say wear what you want. I ride a Team Sky coloured Pinarello and also wear the Team Sky shirt, bibs, socks and helmet and despite being given some abuse by a fellow cyclist, I don't care and will continue to wear it. If a fellow cyclist wishes to pass a childish comment, then so be it but I'm too long in the tooth to let that put me off wearing what I want.0

i do chuckle when people wear full teamkit. i mean, i'm glad to see them on the bike and all that, it's great, but when someone is riding up hill like a sack of potatoes, clad in the polka dot jersey, i have to laugh. then again, i laugh at people clad head to toe in full football colours, unless they're under the age of 13 or so. beyond that it smacks of a lack of imagination. the only vague argument might be that you are financially supporting a team that you like, although with the short life spans of pro-teams and the lack of a fanbase that's not really tenable.
i generalise, but it's mostly people who race who tend to avoid team kit, this is because they recognise the level of achievement that accompanies being a professional cyclist, and it's a bit douchey to gatecrash that party if you're reaching for the 34/28 on a slight incline.
there is so much neutral kit that's pretty good knocking around. the best thing really is to join a club, then wear their jersey with pride.0
