Route planner including topography!?! Help!

Hi all!

My colleague wants to plan a bike trip and wondered if there’s a route planning tool available on the net which would show him the topography of the route?

I certainly don’t know of any, but I’m hoping one of you will.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

    ridewithgps is also very good.

    From many you can export gpx files, open in excel and create your own elevation plot.
